6 Jobs a Cordless Blower Does Beyond Leaves
From light snow on the steps to car interiors and garage dust: smart, safe ways to get more out of a cordless leaf blower all year.

A cordless blower is not a fall-only tool. With no cord and no gas, it is ready in a second for a lot of small jobs around the house. Here are six we use all year.
1. Light, dry snow
A fresh dusting of dry snow on steps, a porch or the car comes off in seconds, without scraping. Use high speed and work from the top down. Wet, heavy snow still needs a shovel.
2. Car interiors and seats
Crumbs, sand and pet hair hide between seats and in floor mats. Open all the doors, use low speed and blow from the inside out. Finish with a vacuum if you like.
3. Engine bay dust
A cool engine bay collects leaves and dust around the cowl and the battery. Low to medium speed clears them. Never do this with a hot engine, and avoid aiming straight at electrical connectors.
4. Drying after a wash
Water hides in mirrors, grilles, wheels and tire treads, then drips and leaves spots. A few passes on medium speed push it out. Wheels and rims dry much faster too.
5. Garage and workshop floors
Sawdust, metal shavings and dirt in a garage go out the door in one pass. Wear safety glasses, close the car windows first and blow toward the open door.
6. Getting a fire or grill going
A gentle stream of air brings charcoal and a campfire to life fast. Use the lowest speed, keep your distance, never point it at loose ash near anything flammable and keep the blower away from the flames.
Safety first, every time
- Wear eye protection, and hearing protection for longer jobs: a blower is loud by nature.
- Keep people and pets away from where you are blowing.
- Do not point the nozzle at anyone, and read the manual before first use.
Why cordless makes it easy
No extension cord to drag and no gas to mix means you actually grab the tool for a two-minute job. With two batteries in the ZAVRAX kit, there is always a charged one on the shelf.
